Protecting our Native forest canopies in our reserves

As Chairman of Community and Recreation committee, I established a substantial budget for protecting our native forest canopies in our reserves. Nelson, as a unitary authority, has more reserve land than most councils around the country, and the need to protect and enhance our biodiversity and native forests is key for our long-term future.
